Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage techniques are the most common soft tissue manipulations employed through massage therapy. Relaxation massage is designed to relax the body and release muscle tension, and may help to improve circulation, flexibility, pain management, stress reduction, and injury rehabilitation.
Sports Massage Therapy
Sports massage is designed to help improve performance, prevent injuries, reduce recovery time, improve circulation and increase flexibility of athletes. It may also help alleviate symptoms of current injuries.
Sports massage is done prior to or following a session of high activity and consists of multiple massage methods including silicone cupping, scraping, compressions, stretching, myofascial release and trigger point release.
Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic massage is the manipulation of the soft tissue to bring about generalised improvements in health, such as relaxation, improved sleep and specific physical benefits, such as relief of muscular aches and pains. Therapeutic massage offers more pressure than a relaxation massage and focuses on working through pain points, restrictions and adhesions using a variety of techniques.
